Wij hebben een heel aangenaam weekend doorgebracht in jullie charmante B&B. Wij zijn zeer hartelijk ontvangen bij aankomst door gastvrouw en -heer, alles was in orde en vooral de gastvrijheid is een groot pluspunt.

Gastvrouw doet werkelijk alles om haar gasten te verwennen, zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en zeer ruime
kamer. Bij mooi weer kan je ook genieten van tuin en veranda; bij ons was het weer wat fris, ruimschoots goedgemaakt door de warmte van de gastvrouw.

Ideaal voor een uitstapje van een paar dagen of weekend, zeker aan te bevelen!

Met veel genoegen kijken we terug op een geslaagd (lekker lang) weekend in Gerach en ruime omgeving. Deze B&B met ruime kamer vormt een ideale uitvalsbasis, niet alleen om de schilderachtige stadjes in de buurt te verkennen, maar ook om te genieten van de pure natuurpracht die deze streek te bieden heeft.

Wie van edelstenen en mineralen houdt, komt hier zeker aan zijn trekken. Niet alleen vind je in het vlakbij gelegen Idar-Oberstein een Edelsteenmuseum en een Mineralenmuseum, maar ook de B&B zelf toont een unieke (en heel ruime) verzameling aan mineralen en edelstenen, door de gastvrouw zelf ‘met de hand’ verzameld.

De vriendelijke ontvangst van de gastvrouw (en ook -heer dat weekend) en hun attente ‘tips voor trips’ zijn twee enorme pluspunten. Om nog te zwijgen over het royale ontbijt en de gastvrije manier waarop tuin, terras en veranda gedeeld werden.

Een pareltje om tot rust te komen in een schitterende omgeving. Hier komen we zeker nog!

A spacious and cozy room in a beautiful house! You will be warmly welcomed by the hostess and she serves up every morning a delicious, full breakfast. An ideal place for those who seek absolute tranquility. At the same time, there are nearby and further away beautiful cities to visit. We’ll be back here!

In March we had the pleasure of being the first guests at the B&B Steinruhe in Gerach. Some final touches to the room still needed to be made, but in spite of that we had everything we needed at our disposal.

The appartement is quite spacious for a B&B, but nevertheless has a cosy atmosphere, in part because of the wooden ceiling. The bathroom and kitchen are brand new, which brings a feeling of luxury. We really enjoyed the shower: no messing around with hot or cold water, or lack of water pressure, just perfect!

Apart from the room we were staying in, there were other rooms that will be ready soon, like another bedroom with kitchen and bathroom, and the breakfast room. We would love to come back another time to check out the end result.

The hostess is very friendly and was literally attending to our wishes day and night.  In the morning she provided an extensive breakfast, which gave us a perfect start for the day. There are plenty of things to do in the area. In Idar-Oberstein, a mere 15 minutes away, you can easily enjoy a day, especially if your are interested in gemstones – as there are quite a lot of those in this lovely town.

We really enjoyed the warm ambience in the appartement and the perfect treatment from hostess Katrien. Very promising for a first time!
